Honvan 120mg Tablet contains Fosfestrol, It belongs to the group of synthetic estrogens. Its primary application is in the management of prostate cancer. Fosfestrol reduces or stops the proliferation of prostate cancer cells that rely on testosterone by lowering testosterone levels or preventing its effects.

Mechanism of Action:

The body transforms fosfestrol, a synthetic estrogen, into diethylstilbestrol. It causes the pituitary to secrete less luteinizing hormone (LH), which in turn causes the testes to produce less testosterone. It starves androgen-dependent prostate cancer cells by reducing the amount of testosterone in the blood. Furthermore, it might directly cytotoxically harm prostate cancer cells.
