Atazor-R Tablet contains Atazanavir and Ritonavir both are protease inhibitors used in the treatment of HIV/AIDS. This combination is frequently used to prevent the HIV virus from replicating within the body.

Composition: Atazanavir, Ritonavir

Mechanism of Action:

The HIV-1 protease inhibitor atazanavir stops viral polyproteins from being cleaved, which leads to the development of immature and noninfectious viral particles.

Ritonavir is mostly used as a pharmacokinetic enhancer at low doses. It increases plasma levels and enhances antiviral activity by blocking CYP3A4-mediated atazanavir metabolism.
