Pazinib 200mg Tablet

Pazinib 200mg Tablet contains Pazopanib, is a protein kinase inhibitor used to treat soft tissue sarcoma and kidney cancer.

Composition: Pazopanib

Mechanism of Action:

Pazopanib inhibits multiple kinases, Vascular endothelial growth factor receptors, Platelet-derived growth factor receptors and Fibroblast growth factor receptors. By blocking these pathways, pazopanib reduces tumor growth and inhibits the development of new blood vessels that tumors need to grow.

Uses:

·         Renal Cell Carcinoma

·         Soft Tissue Sarcoma

Side effects:

•          Hypertension (high blood pressure)
•      Hair/skin depigmentation 
•      Headache
•      Decreased appetite
•      weight loss
•          Diarrhea
•          Nausea
•          Vomiting
•          Dizziness
•          Fatigue
•          Liver function abnormalities

Dosage and Administration:

usual dose is 800 mg once daily on an empty stomach, not 200 mg once daily. 200 mg once daily is used for certain patients with moderate hepatic impairment.

Contraindication 

hepatotoxicity, hypertension, QT prolongation, haemorrhagic events, arterial thrombotic events, GI perforation/fistula, proteinuria and impaired wound healing. Liver function and BP monitoring are particularly important.

How to take this medication?

Take this medication orally while drinking a glass of water. Observe the medicine label's instructions. This medication should not be sliced, crushed, or chewed. At least one hour before or two hours after meals, take this medication on an empty stomach. Avoid taking it with meals.

Avoid taking grapefruit juice with it. Take your medication on a regular basis. Avoid taking it more frequently than prescribed. Except as directed by your physician, do not discontinue taking.

Contact an emergency department or poison control center right away if you believe you have taken too much of this medication.
