Gemita RTU Injection is used to treat a variety of cancers, including non-small cell lung cancer, breast cancer, pancreatic cancer, urinary bladder cancer, and ovarian cancer.

Composition: Gemcitabine

Mechanism of Action:

Gemcitabine is a nucleoside analog that prevents DNA synthesis.  Which prevents DNA strand elongation by inhibiting DNA polymerase. Which prevents integrates into DNA, causing apoptosis (programmed cell death) and cell cycle halt.

Uses:

·         Non-small cell lung cancer. 

·         Pancreatic cancer.

·         Breast cancer

·         Bladder cancer

Side effects:

·         Myelosuppression

·         Nausea

·         Vomiting

·         Fatigue

·         Liver enzyme elevation

·         Flu-like symptoms

·         Fever

·         Chills

Dosage and Administration:

Administered through intravenous infusion over a specific time, usually 30 minutes. Dosage varies based on cancer type and treatment protocol.

Kidney
