Mofecon 500mg Tablet contains Mycophenolate mofetil, an immunosuppressant used primarily to prevent organ rejection in transplant patients.
Brand Name: Mofecon
Composition: Mycophenolate mofetil 500mg
Mechanism of Action:
A prodrug called mycophenolate mofetil is transformed by the body into mycophenolic acid (MPA). It reduces the immunological response that can target transplanted organs by suppressing these cells.

The exact dosage varies depending on the type of organ transplant and the individual patient's condition. As a general reference, typical adult doses (used together with corticosteroids and other immunosuppressants) are 1g twice daily for kidney transplantation, 1.5g twice daily for liver transplantation, and 1g to 1.5g twice daily for cardiac transplantation this general guidance was missing and should always be confirmed against the specific transplant protocol.
