Cipenmet 2.5gm Injection contains Cefepime and Enmetazobactam, fourth-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections.

Mechanism of Action:

A beta-lactam antibiotic that attacks bacterial cell walls is cefepime. Numerous Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria as well as certain resistant species, such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Enterobacteriaceae, are included in its wide range of activity. It works better against bacteria that are resistant to other cephalosporins since it is stable against the majority of beta-lactamases.

Dosage and Administration:

Intramuscular (IM) or intravenous (IV) injections are the routes. The severity of the infection and renal function determine the dosage.

Kidney

How to use this medication?

Cefepime injection is available as a premixed medication that may be injected intravenously (into a vein) over a 30-minute period or as a powder that can be combined with fluids. It is also possible to administer cefepime injection intramuscularly. For seven to ten days, it is typically administered every eight or twelve hours.
