Mechanism of Action:

In order to prevent the effects of estrogen, which can promote the growth of breast cancer cells, it binds to estrogen receptors. In addition to blocking the receptor's function, fulvestrant causes the estrogen receptor to degrade, which lowers the quantity of estrogen receptors that are accessible.

Dosage and Administration:

How to use this medication?

Fulvestrant is a liquid solution that is injected gradually over the course of one to two minutes into a buttock muscle. In a medical office, a physician or nurse administers fulvestrant. For the first three doses (days 1, 15, and 29), it is typically administered once every two weeks; after that, it is administered once every month. Your prescription dosage will be administered as two distinct injections, one in each buttock.
