Bucelon 2mg Tablet contains Busulphan, an alkylating agent used in chemotherapy, especially in preparation for bone marrow or stem cell transplantation.

Composition: Busulphan

Mechanism of Action:

Alkylating agents include Busulphan. It creates covalent connections with DNA, which cause DNA cross-linking and prevent transcription and replication. This disrupts cell division and eventually results in cell death, especially in cells that divide quickly.

Uses:

·       Chronic Myeloid Leukemia

·       Bone marrow/Stem cell transplant conditioning

·       Acute Myeloid Leukemia

·       Other hematologic malignancies

Dosage and Administration:

The dose of oral Busulphan varies according to the patient's condition, treatment response, body weight, blood counts, and the overall chemotherapy/transplantation regimen.
