Atrabin 250mg/50ml Injection

Atrabin 250mg/50ml Injection contains nelarabine, an antineoplastic medicine used to treat certain types of T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL) and T- cell lymphoblastic lymphoma (T-LBL), particularly in patients whose disease has not responded to or has returned after previous treatment. Nelarabine is  a purine nucleoside analogue prodrug that interferes with DNA synthesis in malignant lymphoid cells.

Mechanism of Action: 

Nelarabine is a prodrug that is converted in the body to ara-G and subsequently to the active metabolite ara-GTP. Ara-GTP accumulates in leukemic and becomes incorporated into DNA, inhibiting DNA synthesis and ultimately causing death of the malignant cells.

Dosage and Administration:

Atrabin 250mg/50ml Injection is administered by intravenous infusion only. The dosage and treatment schedule depend on the patient's age, body surface area, clinical condition, blood counts, previous treatments, and response to therapy.
