Fumiget 1.5gm Injection: contain cefpirome 1000mg + sulbactam 500mg, a combination of a fourth generation cephalosporin antibiotics and a beta lactamase inhibitor. It is used for the treatment of serious bacterial infection, including severe respiratory tract infection, complicated urinary tract infection, bloodstream infection skin and tissue infections and certain infection in patients with weakened immunity.

Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you have a history of kidney disease, Liver disease, seizure disorders, gastrointestinal disease, or allergy to cephalosporins, penicillins or other beta lactam antibiotics. Mechanism of Action:

Cefpirome is a fourth generation cephalosporin antibiotics that kills susceptible bacteria by binding to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) and inhibiting bacterial call wall synthesis. This weakens the bacterial cell wall and ultimately causes bacterial cell death.

Sulbactam is a beta lactamse inhibitor. It inhibits certain beta lactamase enzymes produced by bacteria, helping protect cefpirome from enzymatic degradation and supporting its anti bacterial activity.
