Mechanism of Action:

A prodrug of tenof EMovir, Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate & Emtricitabine  is transformed by the body into its active form, tenofovir diphosphate. Reverse transcriptase, an enzyme essential to HIV and HBV replication and dissemination, is inhibited by this active form. Tenof EM helps reduce the viral load in the blood by stopping the virus from reproducing.
